We are reliant on donations from individuals, several Colleges, the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), and some charities, especially Cambridge United Charities and the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, who donate to us because they know we are speedy at making grants to those in need.

Many individuals have kindly donated in response to our campaigns for those in receipt of the Winter Fuel Allowance to donate the Allowance if they can afford to do so.

Our overhead costs are only about 1% of grants made – all the Trustees are volunteers, and the Cambridge Citizens Advice Bureau kindly lets us use their facilities.

"I want to say a huge big thank you to Cambridge Aid for all the funds you have given the families and individuals throughout the year.

It has made such a difference to many families - not just for the essentials, and I can’t tell you how often people have been in tears as the gesture is so poignant for them. The money will definitely make such a difference to the families this year."
